Det 4. af Schæffergårdens debatmøder i efteråret handler om hvordan radikalisering og fanatisme opfattes indenfor psykiatrien og sociologien. Bidrager den store interesse for og æstetisering af vold i medierne og samfundet generelt, til moralsk afstumpethed?

I panelet: Finn Skåderud, psykiater, forfatter og kulturkritiker. Skåderud var kommentator for det norske stats-tv NKRs under retssagen mod Anders Behring Breivik

Stig Hjarvard, professor på institut for medier, erkendelse og formidling. Forsker bl.a. i forholdet mellem medier og samfund, og hvordan samfundet i stigende grad bliver underlagt og er afhængig af medierne og deres logik.

Erika Fatland, forfatter og socialantropolog. I bogen Englebyen beskriver Fatland gidseldramaet mod skole 1. i Beslan i 2004, hvor 333 mennesker blev dræbt, heraf 186 børn. Hun arbejder lige nu på en bog om terrorangrebene i Norge i 2011.

Carsten Bagge Laustsen, lektor i politisk sociologi og leder Center for sociologiske studier ved Århus Universitet. Laustsen har bl.a. forsket i vold og radikalisering.

Mødet holdes mandag d. 26. november 2012, Schæffergården, Jægersborg Allé 166, Gentofte. kl. 20-22.
